Maxime Troncy was born into a sizeable vineyard in the Beaujolais region. With his father's blessing, he now has a portion of the farm for organic farming and natural winemaking. For those of you who remember the PUR wines at this time of year, little known to us it was in fact Maxime and Damien his partner in crime who grew and produced their Gamay for them. This year's Nouveau has settled nicely being picked slightly earlier in the warm weather. This is no boiled lollie Nouveau but a well-extracted balance of fruit and tannin. Bright acidity carries this into the chilled red zone. Drink and enjoy with a smail as Maxime and Damien's domain name 'Les Souriants"
