Equal parts Carignan, Syrah and Grenache from vines between 20 and 70 years old grown on calcareous soil and blue marl. Grapes from each variety were macerated gently for 3 weeks before being transferred to barrels of different sizes for a 12 month élevage. The blend was then assembled and rested in tank for a month before bottling. Ripe black berries and spicy notes on the palate. Slightly firmer tannins and a dry, savoury finish make this an ideal wine for the colder months and a good match for heartier dishes at the table.
